Reflecting on 2024 and Looking Ahead: Exciting New Chapters at TBell Actors Studio

As the year comes to a close, we at TBell Actors Studio want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of our students, instructors, and supporters who have made this year truly unforgettable. Your dedication and passion for the craft of acting inspire us every single day. Whether you joined us for a a month, or have been part of our family for years, you are the reason we continue to grow and thrive as a community.

This year, we’ve seen remarkable growth in talent, skill, and camaraderie within our studio. With many of our students continuing to book commericals, short films and roles in tv shows, 2024 has been a testament to the power of hard work and collaboration. As we look to 2025, we’re thrilled to announce exciting developments to support your journey as an actor!

Introducing Virtual Classes with April Hartman

We’re taking the studio to the next level—or rather, the virtual level! Starting in February, we’ll be offering online classes led by the incredible April Hartman. April brings years of experience in film and television and a unique ability to connect with students wherever they are. These classes are perfect for those who want to refine their craft from the comfort of their home.  April will be teaching a “Business of Acting” Workshop the first Monday of every month beginning February 3rd 6:30 – 9:30.  There is no charge for current studio students.  There is $100 fee for non-studio actors.  April will cover the basics of business all actors need to know to be competitive in the business.

Archetype Workshop – March 1, 2025

TBell will be teaching two Archetype workshops this year.  The first one will be on Saturday, March 1st, 10:00 – 4:00.  This is an envaluable workshop for any actor wanting to know “their type.”  It is very interactive and actors will share what they perceive to be their “archetype(s)” and their classmates will also share their thoughts.  The archetypes covered are those commonly seen in film and literature; Nurturer, Seductress, Librarian, Spunky Kid, Free Spirit, Charmer, Bad Boy, Swashbuckler, etc.

Observing Classes

The studio continues to offer class observations for curious actors,  Seating is limited and there is a small fee.  Observations are held every Monday and Tuesday night, 6:30 – 9:30 and registration can be done through the studio website. This is a fantastic way to expand your understanding of the craft while considering future participation in classes.

A Brief Look at the History of Acting Studios

Acting studios have been at the heart of artistic innovation for over a century. The tradition dates back to Constantin Stanislavski in the early 1900s, whose methods revolutionized the way actors approached their roles. His work laid the foundation for modern techniques like those taught by Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, and Sanford Meisner, whose legendary studios have produced some of the most iconic actors of our time. Acting studios provide a safe space for experimentation, growth, and the exploration of human emotion, and we are proud to carry on this tradition at TBell Actors Studio.

In today’s film and television industry, the demand for skilled, authentic performances is higher than ever. The actors who rise to the top are those who continuously train, refine their craft, and embrace the challenges of the industry with resilience and determination. It’s this commitment that makes acting studios an essential part of an actor’s journey.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we step into the new year, we are more committed than ever to providing high-quality training, innovative programs, and a supportive environment for our students. We have so much planned for 2025, and we can’t wait to share it all with you.

Thank you for being part of our story this year. We hope your holidays are filled with joy, and we look forward to seeing you in the studio—virtually or in person—very soon!

Warm regards,

TBell
